Quinn has always been a believer of romance and the big HEA feels!! A remarkable task considering her mother is a bitter, man hating shark that would rather fight and blame everything on those around her. Quinn plans a trip to the Lands of the Gods in Greece with her boyfriend and plans to pop the question. Unfortunately after finding Igor in a very compromising position with a waitress with an overly inflated rack of boobies she takes the trip with her good friend Ingrid. Unbeknownst to Quinn, Ingrid works at OOOPS and this will be very handy very soon. In a perfectly written story line involving a mysterious goat wrangler who tells of a Golden Apple owned by Aphrodite. Quinn wanders the Parthenon and when a small apple falls out of a pillar following a small quake things become most interesting and quite complicated. She meets Kristhos, the guardian of the apple but is unsure of his intentions so she fights for control. In doing so she nicks the apple and dreadful juice flows down her throat. The next thing you know she has big big boobies like cantaloupes, her eyes sparkle purple and her skin has an ethereal glow about it. The group congregates at Quinn's home to figure this out and to teach her how to be a modern day Aphrodite and to work with Cupid. All while watching the soul connection that is happening to Quinn now that she has sworn off men!Just knowing the premise and the way Dakota writes I knew this book would not let me down. I laughed so hard I sent my poodle and my husband running out of the room. These books are addicting!!! Once I pick one up I will read straight thru. Forget eating, sleeping, potty breaks or civil conversation. You always root for the newly made supernatural person and wish the OOOPS gang could come to my own rescue from time to time. I love the girls and their fierce loyalty and protection. I would love to be Nina when I grow up. At 47 I probably should be grown up. Oh well.
I love mythology and the different gods we met during the book. There may be a few liberties to make the story flow correctly but the gods and goddesses are true to their roles and abilities. If you haven't read these books you must stop what you are doing and begin. If you truly want to be part of the Tiara Club that adores and are anything like me who occasionally pulls a fan girl moment on Dakota check out her FB page or her author pages. Wonderful story. Loved the characters, especially Nina and her harsh exterior. It is one you can not put down. The scenery is colorful, and fairytale like a great read all around.
I just love this series! Dakota makes you love her characters. I found her first book by chance and then binge read the whole series. The girls are so lovable and funny I just want to hang out with them for a day. This series is definitely worth a read!
I've read the whole Accidental series and this latest installment is one of my favorites! There is plenty of action, romance, and (of course) snark! I really enjoyed the intertwining of mythology in this story. If you're looking for a fun read (one that you won't want to put down because it's so stinking funny) then you should check out this and all of Dakota's books!
OOPS characters are fun to read and surprising complex. Marty so sweet that she might give you a cavity. Wanda is like everyone's Mom. Nina is a total curmudgeon. She is sarcastic and foul-mouthed. She, also, has the biggest heart. If you are the underdog or an animal she is your champion. The ladies of OOPS make the series.
This was another well written addition to this binge worthy series! I loved these characters. The storyline engaged me beginning to end.
Once again into the manic, snarky absolutely hilarious world of Dakota Cassidy’s Accidental series. Join Nina, Marty, Wanda and the gang as they help Quinn Morris deal with her new status as a Goddess. Yes this series is formulaic (even Nina points it out) but if it works…
I am so glad that Dakota Cassidy has decided to keep the series going. I do so enjoy my visits with the crew and I am sure there are some paranormals she hasn’t covered yet. So check your brain at the door, relax and enjoy.
From the moment I read on FB that her new Accidental book is out I had to have it! And was not disappointed. Dakota Cassidy isn't just an author, reading her books and the happy feeling they evoke makes her more like chilled watermelon in summer; juice may drip down your chin and make you sticky as hell but that darn cold chunk of pink goodness makes the heat 100% more bareable. I love this series from the moment I read Accidentally Dead and had to go back and read The Accidental Werewolf I knew that this series was /is something special. I've read and reread many of this series and this book will be no different. The first line keeps you interested and every line following does the same, I love laughing through a book. I love the progressive approach to a mother I can relate to. I loved the way Dakota Cassidy morphed the mythology to give a great and funny tale. Also I love and thank you Dakota Cassidy for facing the Indie world and giving us more of the Accidental series, I'll buy the next book too!
