Neal began his morning pleasantly enough, being whip-trained on basic commands and showering in a cell under the watchful eye of student handler Mark. But while he's in his cell for lunch, sadistic and spoiled student handler Logan kidnaps him away to the grim permanent cells for failed prisoners, where nobody will find him.
After enduring hours of abuse with a dog training pinch collar around his neck and having his pinioned hands strapped until they bleed, Neal becomes determined to escape to a part of the facility where he'll be able to get help - hopefully from his new permanent handler Martin.
Impulse control and Neal are two incompatible concepts, so when he escapes, he soon decides to go for broke and try to escape the program entirely. Caught attempting to scale the wall, he's dragged back to face the music.... and Martin.
Under orders to punish Neal severely for attempted escape, Martin straps him to a table and introduces him to just how sensitive certain parts of his chest really are. With skilled use of sandpaper, clamps, electricity, the flogger and strap, a spiked punishment belt, and capsicum cream, Martin soon has Neal struggling and screaming.
With the agonizing punishment complete, Martin patiently nurses his exhausted and shocked prisoner, comforting him until he's recovered enough to walk.
Locked in a painful punishment collar and handcuffed in Martin's specially equipped police car, Neal is about to find out what awaits him at home.

Things definitely came to a head with Logan much earlier than I had anticipated. I keep having too remind myself that this is just fantasy each time the author tries to blend this program into a modern American legal system - I honestly just don't buy it and I almost wish that the story were set differently such that it would be as distracting as it is.Product details

Where did this writer come from? What a wicked imagination!! I'm reading this series, holding my breath, sitting on the edge of my seat and with one eye closed!!
You're quite right in your description of Logan. Something went seriously wrong in his upbringing! Neal still needs to learn to take responsibility for his actions.
This won't be for everyone but I loved it! This isn't about pleasure. These are prisoners being given a chance to get out of their life sentences by allowing themselves to be rehabilitated through punishment at least 8 hours of every day(moderate, severe, TORTURE). The prisoners can be comforted after punishment with going home with their trainer for a meal and to sleep in a bed but are always shackled with shock collars so they know they are prisoners. So far there are 3 books in this series and I have read them all. I'm totally hooked and can't wait for the rest of the series to come out. If you like the dark, then this is for you.
